Ralph Peters

Ralph Peters completed his Master of Fine Arts degree in Artisanry at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2000, where one of his mentors was "found objects" artist Stephen Whittlesey. Peters also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Arts from the Pennsylvania State University.

The artist's work is reflective of his love for the simple beauty of nature and his connection with his natural surroundings as a youth. Ralph Peters' work exhibits a warmth inherent in the natural materials around him. His kinship with the organic elements is shown in his respectful handling of the material to draw out its inner beauty. His work is about craftsmanship and purity found in making furniture one piece at a time.
